GRIDLEY

After the War of the Rings, men moved out from Lake Town and Dale to build new towns. One of these was Gridley, named after good friend Krista Gridley who helped design and expand 2005 the LT&S in 2005. Here is the original town of Gridley as it appeared in 2007. Operators had to cross the dry stream bed in front of the town to switch the team track. This was an opportunity for turned ankles, and the town was moved to a more accessible location in 2008.

At first, the new Gridley was just a logging camp.

When this photo was taken in 2013, Gridley had its own water tower and station.

There is also a warehouse next to the station. Across a passing siding is a meat packing plant and the another smaller warehouse.
